Cruise Flights

Hi Fam,

Here are the flight options I’ve found for our upcoming cruise trip. All options include one night at the AC Hotel by Marriott at Dania Beach. It’s not directly on the beach, but there are plenty of activities nearby. Each option is a direct flight, includes selecting seats in advance, and the price is per family. All of these prices may change the next time I run the packages. They do look better than they did last week though.

Since we get in the day before the cruise leaves, we have a bunch of flexibility in arrival time, and midday actually is the least expensive. On our return, we will disembark the ship in the 7:30 AM range. They say you can book a flight as early as 10:30 AM but that soon after port arrival gives me anxiety, so I think around noon is the sweet spot for relaxed pace without too much idle time. Delta also understands this and took that into account in their pricing.

Option 1: Frontier Airlines

• Price: $948.82 Total ($316.27 per person)
• Hotel: AC Hotel by Marriott at Dania Beach
• Outbound Flight: 9:58 AM
• Return Flight: 12:05 PM

Option 2: JetBlue

• Price: $918.79 Total ($306.26 per person)
• Hotel: AC Hotel by Marriott at Dania Beach
• Outbound Flight: 11:35 AM
• Return Flight: 3:42 PM
  • Downside: Longer wait after disembarkation before flight. We will have 5+ hours to kill

Option 3: Delta

• Price: $1290.82 Total ($430.27 per person)
• Hotel: AC Hotel by Marriott at Dania Beach
• Outbound Flight: 1:20 PM
• Return Flight: 12:28 PM
  • Upside: Very comfortable timing
  • Note: The premium is for the time.

Option 4: Delta

• Price: $1095.82 Total ($365.27 per person)
• Hotel: AC Hotel by Marriott at Dania Beach
• Outbound Flight: 1:20 PM
• Return Flight: 4:20 PM
  • Upside: Very comfortable timing
  • Note: If we leave even later, price could drop closer the other two.
